The Challenge for Urben Blu

Prior to delivery, Urben Blu coordinated a site visit to help the city plan and prepare the location. According to Marc Mancuso, Parks and Recreation Director for the City of Fruita, the process was simple and efficient:

“The installation was very straightforward, and they provided great information on preparing the site before they arrived. They came out for a site visit to review the site prior to shipping the unit from Canada.”

The entire setup took approximately four days from delivery to full operation.

Although some onsite maintenance is still required, the unit reduced daily workload compared to conventional facilities. As Marc noted:

“It is not fully autonomous; staff are still required to help maintain but not as much as other restrooms. The automatic locking doors help with security at night and the operations are easy to program.”

Results

The overall feedback from the city has been extremely positive, both regarding the quality of the unit and the support received:

“The restroom is high quality and made from quality materials. The overall operation and quality of the unit fit well into our downtown area and is great.”

Most importantly, the restroom fulfilled its purpose effectively:

“It has served the purpose of providing downtown restrooms and has added to the amenities we can offer.”
