The situation

The town of Palisade is located in the heart of Colorado’s wine country on the western slope. It is about a 4-hour drive from Denver, Colorado’s capital city, and its motto is “Life Tastes Good Here all Year Long!”. In addition to great wine, Palisade is famous for its fruit. “Palisade Peaches” are some of the most beloved and famous foods in the state. In fact, its nickname is “the peach capital of Colorado.”

The city was looking for an easy-to-use solution on a budget to change the outdated restrooms at Veterans’ Memorial Park. This one includes a basketball court, benches, pet stations, gazebos, a playground and a skate park. It is a favorite place for residents to escape the heat and enjoy the outdoors, just steps from downtown and many neighborhoods.

 

The challenge for Urben Blu

The sturdiness of the materials, the resistance to weather, the simplicity of use for both users and employees and the automation of the cleaning process were among the main qualities sought to replace the existing toilets. That’s why our smart, self-cleaning, vandal-resistant single toilet proved to be the ideal solution for the people of Palisade.

The customization and choice of exterior materials was made by the Municipality of Palisade’s management in accordance with the design and environment of Memorial Park.

 

The results

Installed in October 2022, the Urben Blu toilet is a hit with the Palisade community, as Travis Boyd, CFO of the Town of Palisade, who is very involved in the project, describes:
